Learn your camera and take a walk

You folks will be introduced to the class goals, schedule, rules, etc., and to us (your teachers) and one another.  Jes and I (your teachers) will present the basics of digital photography, show you examples of work from an artist who uses walking and a process-based method, and play a game that simulates the whole process of creating that you will be engaged in throughout the week.  

In the afternoon we’ll take a walk around downtown, allowing you all to collectively choose a route at designated points along the way, a choose-your-own-adventure path!  

Along the way you will be photographing with certain rules based on the paths you choose, trust us, it's really fun.

We will use the map you route today to create scores of ideas and supercool art!
